1. Learning access

Free includes the first 30 words and first 30 kanji of each JLPT level. These are fixed items, not a daily allowance: waiting does not unlock more content. Available items can be repeated without limits inside and outside the app. Pro unlocks the full vocabulary and kanji catalog.

Free background listening includes 300 seconds per day. Pro removes this listening limit and adds manual cloud backup and restore. Subscription verification may temporarily pause access to Pro content. Your saved learning history is preserved when a subscription expires.

2. Accounts, subscriptions and cancellation

Sign-in is required to purchase or restore Pro and to use account backup and restore. Uploading replaces the account’s single cloud backup; restoring replaces learning records on the current device. Records are not automatically merged. Keep your sign-in credentials secure.

Pro is an automatically renewing monthly or annual subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period and applicable offer terms. Manage renewal, cancellation and refund requests through the store where you subscribed. The app provides subscription-management and purchase-restoration options.

Deleting your app account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel renewal separately through Apple or Google. Subscription expiry does not delete your local learning history.

You can permanently delete your account in the app or request deletion using our account deletion page.

3. Repeat practice and diagnostics

Available content can be repeated without limits or advertising. Focused study and routine progress are recorded separately.

Usage analytics and crash-reporting preferences can be changed in Settings. See the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the app or accounts, or use the service to infringe another person’s rights.

5. Content and rights

App code, design and original content belong to ALAN or their respective rights holders. Third-party learning materials remain subject to their own licenses and attribution notices. Routine JLPT is not an official JLPT app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the JLPT administrators.

6. Changes and availability

Features may change or be suspended for security, legal, platform, content-rights or operational reasons. Material changes are communicated in the app or on this site. Device, network and third-party service issues can affect availability.

7. Applicable law and consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. These terms do not exclude rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
